Be Smart, Be Inspiring, Get Yorcard
Yorcard is a new smartcard-based payment system for public transport, currently under development for South and West Yorkshire. This new payment method is designed to offer passengers an easy, secure, convenient and cost-effective way of paying for public transport across the region.
This technology is currently being tested through a pilot on buses in Sheffield and on the Sheffield to Doncaster railway line.
Our hope and goal is that Yorcard will be available on all forms of public transport across South and West Yorkshire over the next two to three years.
